Ondergetekende is straattheater artiest en als zodanig geregeld werkzaam op de grotere speel-plekken in het centrum van Amsterdam, t.w. het Leidseplein en/of de Dam. Ondergetekende is houder van een straattheater vergunning afgegeven door het stadsdeel Amsterdam-Centrum.
Sinds begin 2004 verleent het stadsdeel Amsterdam-Centrum, in tegenstelling tot voorgaande jaren, geen vergunning meer aan straattheater artiesten van buiten de Europese Gemeenschap. Hierbij verklaart ondergetekende geen enkel bezwaar te hebben als het stadsdeel Amsterdam-Centrum in de toekomst, net als voorgaande jaren, weer wel vergunning gaat verlenen aan straattheater artiesten van buiten de Europese Gemeeenschap. Integendeel, ondergetekende is er van overtuigd dat het vergunnen van ook niet-EU ingezetene straattheater artiesten een verrijking van de speelplekken oplevert en artistiek stimuleert. Hiermee wordt de kwaliteit van de speelplekken gewaarborgd cq. verhoogd. Daarnaast ziet ondergetekende het internationale (niet-EU) straattheater, zonder restricties t.a.v. nationaliteit, als een algehele culturele verrijking voor een wereldstad als Amsterdam. Het toelaten van alle nationaliteiten tot het opvoeren van straattheater is cruciaal en urgent.
Undersigned is street theater perfomer and performing regularly at the larger performing sites in the centre of Amsterdam, ie. Leidseplein and/or Dam Square. Undersigned holds a street performing license issued by the partial city council of Amsterdam-Centre. Since start of 2004, in contrast to previous years, the partial city council of Amsterdam-Centre does not issue licenses anymore to street theater performers from outside the European Union. Hereby undersigned declares to have no objection whatsoever if the partial city council of Amsterdam-Centre, like previous years, will start issueing licenses again to street theater performers from outside the European Community. On the contrary, undersigned is convinced that issueing licenses to non-EU residents will bring an enrichment to the performing sites and stimulates the art. This will guarantee and raise the quality of the performing sites. Further, undersigned considers international (non-EU) street theater, without restrictions based on nationality, as an overall cultural enrichment of a world city like Amsterdam. Giving access to all nationalities to perform street theater is crucial and urgent.
